Danish Modern, teak Desk designed by Borge Mogensen for Sibast Moebler. Made in Denmark. Early construction from the 1950s. The table measures 39.5" long x 23.5" wide x 29" high. It is in overall excellent condition. The desk can have a three drawer gallery easily removed to make it a simple table. The legs are solid teak. The top is a thick veneer with solid half round edge molding. There is a skirt to the underside of the top to add stability and to strengthen the structure. The drawer gallery attaches with 4 flathead screws. It can be positioned to have the gallery on either the right or left side of the table. The drawers have dovetail construction and show a solid wood frame construction with veneer overlay. The teak has a medium finish to it. Refinishing can be done as the veneer is thick. The piece is from the 1950s.
