George Nakashima headboard. Sold in 1968. The customers name is on the back of the stretcher. There is a 7" split to the left side in the middle of the board. 72" long x 36" high x 4.5" deep. A copy of the original order form is available. Made of American walnut. The top of the headboard has a free edge that has worm grooves. The top two inches is a lighter sap wood. Verified at the Nakashima Studio in February, 2019.
