Very interesting book about the early California missions. The artwork is by Chesley Bonestell who is more widely known for his futuristic, spaceship, sci-fi and futuristic art and book, magazine and video art. The book is a softcover with 60 pages. There are full color drawings of 22 mostly Franciscan order mission compounds. The building style portrayed is the precursor to the Cliff May homes of the 1930s to 1970s. The book is in good to very good condition. there are 3 loose pages that separated from the binding.
